From what or where or whom do you come and how has it mattered? Do you
see it in yourself still?

I come from Earth and time and space and experiences of many lives
lived.
I come from Yocheved and David
I come from all that has been before and tried to challenge and stop
me and I survived
Yes, it mattered
Yes, I matter
Of course I see it all in myself daily and at each moment

What darkness almost overwhelms you and what keeps it at bay?

Insecurity about my future scares me, overwhelms me, threatens my
health.  Chanting NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO helps keep me on a path between
that which is black and white, right and left, good and evil.  It is
faith in myself, in that I matter and a courage, a strength to go on
and contribute that keeps it at bay

When do you feel most alive?

I am most alive when I smell the lilac, the linden, the jasmine.  When
I eat wonderful vegetables, when I know I am looking into the eyes of
my beloved, when I read a good book and especially when I sing with,
to, and for the universe

From what have you managed to free yourself?

I succeeded in overcoming a lot of poisoned emotional, negative damage
and being able to be a more confident, hopeful, positive person.

What do you hold on to and/or what won't let you go?

I hold on to a sense of justice and fairness for all and I will never
let that go as long as I breathe, speak and make sounds and write

What dream do you remember most vividly and what message does it
bear?

I remember meeting the artwork coming out of the screen, the frame and
telling me that I too am art

Why don’t you listen to what the universe or your mind or your body
or your god whispers ever more closely to you?

Not a relevant question for me as I listen to the universe constantly.
I hear the song of the wind, the kiss of the waves as it touches
shore and me, I feel the message of the foods that enter my body and I
rail at that I feel is detrimental.  I honour the Buddha in me and
therefore I honour the Buddha in you

What does art do, really; what's the value of art?

Art connects all of us to who we are as a species and reminds people
that we are connected and interconnected to all living things, visible
and invisible
Art, true art, is invaluable

If you could, what gift that is impossible for you to give would you
offer and to whom? Why this gift, this person?

If I had the money I would gift it to many people to encourage their
own creativity, their own dreams, their own self=awakening.  why this
gift?  It is like offering someone a tool that they can use in
whatever way they choose and I would only gift people I feel would
smile, dance, throw a party, draw a picture, sing a song, write a
manifesto, and pick a flower

Describe a person you love. How would you know them without their
face?

I love a person who has a mellifluous voice, who laughs much and cries
profoundly, who is generous with their time and fair-minded opinions,
who is gentle and strong and clear, who walks forward and understands
wisdom and compassion, with cotton hair and velvet skin and blazing
eyes and who sighs like the wind bearing a message of delight

How did you know you were in love and what makes you unsure of it?

I know I'm in love when I feel like singing and know that my sense of
self is not threatened

What besides love do you doubt and what makes you doubt it?

I doubt the economy's ability to be the be all and end all of a
society's hope

In what way have you betrayed or disappointed yourself or others? In
what way have you been betrayed or disappointed?

I generally don't betray others.  I am disappointed in myself when I
do less than I want to do, or accomplish.  I have been betrayed and
disappointed by the greed and short-sightedness of those professing to
love me

What are the parameters of your small world?

My world is not small

Why aren’t you more involved in trying to better the world of
others?

We don't know each other and therefore this question is not relevant
to me.  If we knew each other you would know that is my raison d'etre
IS to try to better the world of others, constantly, it my continuous
prayer
